It is believed that the man was traveling eastbound on Shelbyville Road when he lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.

The crash happened just afternoon on Tuesday south of Fern Creek. 

Officers responded to a call shortly after 3 a.m. about a crash involving a pedestrian on Dixie Highway near Shipley Lane.

The crash was reported at 10:20 a.m. and involves only one vehicle.

KYTC said a damaged expansion joint on the Indiana approach needed to be repaired in preparation for a long-planned project to replace all expansion joints on the bridge.

A 27-year-old man was identified Monday as the victim of a fatal crash early Saturday morning on a Louisville interstate.
