Officers believe the man was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and was ejected from the bike.

Witnesses on the scene allegedly told officers that the motorcyclist was driving "at a high rate of speed."

The crash happend about 11 a.m. Monday at Rowan and North 21st Streets.

The motorcyclist, a male whose age was not immediately provided, was pronounced dead at the scene.
