The new Norton West Louisville Hospital will open November at 28th Street and West Broadway in the Parkland neighborhood.
It will benefit the health of people in Greater Louisville and surrounding counties, as well as communities throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
The new research institute will focus on all phases of research including investigating medications, devices, health outcomes, health disparities and developmental biology across a multitude of specialties.
The eligibility has now increased to 350% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Norton Sports Health will also be able to provide annual physicals for jockeys, concussions tests, lab work and other care.
The Louisville-based health system said in a news release that the actions are part of a five-step plan to address inequalities “both internally and within the communities … (the system) serves.”
The awards honor professional and philanthropic contributions of the region’s outstanding business leaders.
