Fern Creek's Mykel Malone - The Tigers desperately needed something to go their way after a slow first half and they called on the junior running back to take it over 50 yards for a touchdown.
Eastern's quarterback Kedon Ward passed to Joshua Shipley, but KCD's Dylan Keene laid a lick. Shipley hung onto the catch and congratulated him on the hit.
St. X senior Cooper Smith took an Owensboro kickoff and had room to run down the sideline, going 88 yards to tie the game at 14-14.
