LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — May 4, 2024 will be an important date for one couple who got married at the 150th Kentucky Derby.

Louisville Metro Police posted on Facebook that a couple, Steve Zimick and Linda Seefureh, of Wisconsin, were married in front of the Barbaro statue at Churchill Downs on Derby morning.

The department wished them "many wonderful years of marriage" in the post.

The couple said they were thinking of places to get married, and Vegas was on the list, but ultimately chose the Derby because of the 150th running this year.
