Louisville basketball's Spencer Legg talks about his nonprofit, why he came to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville senior Spencer Legg followed head coach Pat Kelsey to town from College of Charleston and has planted roots in just one year.

The 6-foot-7-inch guard from Washington, D.C., created a nonprofit called Spencer's Stand, which aims to create a community of support around those diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

A Type 1 diabetic himself, Legg was diagnosed at just 11 years old. Spencer's Stand aims to "show that adversity, in all its forms, can be transformed into strength and purpose," the nonprofit's website says.

This week, Sidney Depp of Floyd Street Media sat down with Legg to talk about the nonprofit, the impact Kelsey had on him and how he decided to transfer from Charleston to Louisville.
