For many families, the Kentucky State Fair is a tradition and even the hottest day of the year couldn't stop them from enjoying their day.Â
If the fair takes place, it could happen during a busy time for the city, with Thunder set for mid-August and Derby activities in early September.
The proposal now heads to Gov. Andy Beshear's administration for its review and a decision fair officials hope will come in mid-June.Â
