LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The 2nd Street Bridge (Clark Memorial Bridge) shut down in both directions Thursday, April 18, as crews prepare for Thunder Over Louisville.

The bridge that connects downtown Louisville to southern Indiana closed at 9:30 a.m. Thursday and will remain closed through 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Big Four Pedestrian Bridge closes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19, for air show practice. It will close again from 10 a.m. until midnight on Saturday (Thunder Day). Access to the bridge will be restricted due to safety operations.

Signage will be placed on the Big Four Bridge to let people know about the closure and restrictions.
