LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tickets are now available for viewing Thunder Over Louisville from the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. 

This year's event happens April 12. 

The Kentucky Center at 501 W. Main Street boasts excellent views of the air show and fireworks from its three levels, making it an ideal spot that offers both indoor and outdoor areas to take in the show without worrying about the weather, according to a news release. 

Tickets are $55 for adults, and $12 for children 12 and under (plus fees). Doors open at 2 p.m., with live entertainment by Bourbon Britches, karaoke hosted by Redline Performing Arts, free hip-hop dance classes, trivia and other activities.

The Center's restrooms, activities for families, ample outdoor viewing space on the Belvedere, and food service and concessions without waiting in long lines. Multiple bars will be available where adults can enjoy a variety of beer, wine options, and specialty cocktails. 

The Kentucky Center's parking garage will open at 9:30 a.m. Prepaid parking can be purchased in advance for $25 here. Parking the day of the event will be first come, first served and also costs $25.
