Braidy Industries still needs to raise about $500 million from investors to start construction of its much-anticipated aluminum mill in northeast Kentucky, the company’s new CEO told lawmakers on Tuesday.
A report prepared as part of litigation accuses Craig Bouchard of making false promises, ordering documents altered, deleting emails and wasting money on public relations gambits. Braidy Industries, which received $15 million from Kentucky, still hopes to build the much-anticipated aluminum plant.
Braidy Industries is trying to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for its planned Kentucky aluminum mill without a CEO following a court order that gives founder Craig Bouchard veto power over hiring decisions.
