Until Freedom demonstrators in front of Churchill Downs on Oaks Day
- Updated
Demonstrators led by the group Until Freedom hold a news conference in front of Churchill Downs Friday morning, pledging to hold non-violent protests on Derby Day.

The Until Freedom protesters compared fences erected along Central Avenue to "cages" that once held slaves and vowed to hold non-violent demonstrations.
Several groups that say they plan to protest are calling for the cancellation of the Derby, after 100 days of demonstrations over the death of Breonna Taylor, who was killed by LMPD officers during a drug raid in March.
