LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - FirstBuild wants to show off a little during their open house.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser explored the makerspace on the UofL campus.

During the day, FirstBuild invents what's next for the home on behalf of GE Appliances.

Every weeknight from 5-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-5 p.m., they change into a free community makerspace on the UofL campus. This year, they are offering classes and open houses.

Join new classes on various equipment every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m., most classes are $5. Plus, stop by for new monthly open houses, including this Saturday from 10-4 p.m.

The public is welcome to tour, check out the space and meet other makers.

Makers can use a variety of equipment like 3D printers, vinyl cutter, large-format printer, woodshop, laser cutters, even making sourdough bread with the new Sourdough Sidekick, shipping soon.
