SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The public can own a piece of KFC history.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser gets a look at auction items connected to Colonel Sanders.
Colonel Harland Sanders and Claudia Sanders moved into their Shelbyville, Kentucky home, Blackwood Hall in 1959. The Dinner House was established nearby in 1968.
The Settle family purchased the historic properties directly from Mr. & Mrs. Sanders in 1974. Now, it's time to part ways with nearly 100 rare artifacts.
The public can bid on historical items once owned by Harland & Claudia Sanders. For the first time in more than fifty years, the personal collection preserved by the Settle family, together with the historic Claudia Sanders Dinner House and Blackwood Hall, will go to public auction.
The auction will feature personal and professional artifacts from one of America's most recognizable entrepreneurs.
