The last two weeks we had plenty of rain move through our area. That helped out a lot with keeping pollen counts fairly low and not allowing for too many allergy problems to come up. Well, our rain chances are a lot lower this upcoming week, so does that mean pollen is returning? You bet!
Unfortunately what comes with nice weather and sunshine in our area this time of the year is high pollen and after last week it will be back on the rise this weekend and early this work week.Â
Grasses is the main culprit this time of the year. Especially since we just got a lot of rain the last week, those grasses will be growing like crazy and spreading more pollen as they grow quickly. While grasses are the main culprit, mulberry and hickory are also trouble causers. Those trees are also in full bloom and loving the rain we just saw so those two will also cause some issues.Â
With not a lot of rain expected this upcoming week, expect pollen to continue to be pretty high heading through much of the work week.Â
