There is a decent amount of speed shear or increase of wind direction with height. However, there isn't much if any directional shear which is a change in wind direction with height. That's why if we see a strong to severe storm, my opinion is that damaging winds are the only legit threat. The line of storms with heavy rain moves across our area from 2-8 PM. The rain will get heavier later in the day as the future radar images show...




Once that front slices through, colder air rushes in and there's even the opportunity for snow showers and flurries to mix in on Sunday. That means we get 2 seasons in 1 weekend. I'll have an update on WDRB News at 10 and 11, plus check in with Bryce and Hannah this weekend. Â
