Weekend Rain 3.jpg

This summertime pattern ahs brought us rounds of rain and some real heat and humidity! And before we turn quiet for a couple of days, we've got a little more rain to deal with this weekend. Let's dig into the data.

We picked up on some good rain last night and early this morning with showers and storms dropping almost an inch of rain in some isolated areas.

Saturday's rain chance will be highly dependent on the formation of an MCS overnight in Missouri. If it forms, there's a solid chance we get rain in the evening. If not, we'll be dry during the daytime hours Saturday.

Saturday night and Sunday morning will bring us a very solid chance for showers and storms. Some could be on the strong side with a damaging wind gust possible as the storms roll into our western counties. Rainfall amounts of .25" to 1" are possible.

Many folks will be dry after the round of rain early in the morning, but scattered showers and a storm or two could pop off in the afternoon hours as the front slides through the region Sunday. Much drier air with dewpoints in the low 40s invades the area behind this front. That means we'll likely have a dry first couple of days next week!!
