Woman dead after Old Louisville shooting

Kayla Percell, 21, died of a gunshot wound just before 8 p.m. Friday at University Hospital after being involved in a shooting in the 100 block of East Caldwell Street, near South First Street, around 7 p.m. Dec. 6, 2019.

Police responded to a report of a shooting around 7:00 p.m. on Caldwell and 1st Streets.
According to police, the shooting happened after the victim had an altercation of some sort with another female, who reportedly fled the scene.
Kayla Percell, a 21-year-old mother of three, was shot and killed Friday night.
