LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.
Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening the weekend of Friday, May 15 to Sunday, May 17.
Wild Lights at the Louisville Zoo
A fan-favorite light show will return to the Louisville Zoo this weekend after a one-year hiatus.
Wild Lights will transform the zoo into a glowing nighttime experience starting Friday, May 15 through July 26, featuring dozens of large-scale lantern displays and interactive exhibits.
Guests will walk a 1.4-mile path lined with more than 50 themed lantern displays, with interactive elements bringing some to life.
The festival will also highlight Chinese lantern-making, a centuries-old art form. Artisans from Zigong, China, will be on site demonstrating their work and offering handcrafted items for purchase.
Live performances, including acrobatics and traditional mask-changing acts, will take place throughout the event.
Food, drinks and themed merchandise will be available across the zoo.
Wild Lights will run 7-10 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, rain or shine. The last tickets will be sold at 9:30 p.m.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus
For the first time in a decade, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's "Greatest Show on Earth" is returning to Louisville.
The show is scheduled for May 15-17 at the KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville.
The circus promises "a high-energy, music-driven experience with bold circus performances, unforgettable characters, and a nonstop party vibe."
The soundtrack will include popular hits and original Ringling fan-favorite songs, according to the release. A reimagined stage design features "a massive LED screen and cameras that capture seemingly impossible angles to enhance the live performances."
The show is scheduled for the following dates and times:
- Friday, May 15, 7 p.m.
- Saturday, May 16, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Sunday, May 17 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The Ringling cast features 65 performers from 17 countries, according to the release.

Louisville Horror Con
Horror fans, collectors and thrill-seekers from across the region will gather in Louisville for a weekend of scares and entertainment.
Louisville Horror Con will take over the Kentucky Expo Center this weekend. There will be celebrity meet-and-greets, live panels, vendors and cosplay contests.
Celebrities include Jack Osbourne, Linda Blair, Jamie Kennedy, Omri Katz, Jason Marsden, Vanessa Shaw, James Duval, Whit Hertford, Douglas Tait, Quinn Lord, Miko Hughes and Ed Begley Jr.
Tickets start at $35. Kids age 10 and under get in for free.

Paristown Flea
The Paristown Flea returns this weekend. Discover a treasure trove of vintage finds, funky junk, and one-of-a-kind curiosities .
Shop an eclectic mix of more than 75 vendors offering vinyl records, antique furniture to art deco pieces, houseplants, repurposed goods, books and more.
Whether you're a seasoned collector or just browsing for something unexpected, Paristown Flea is your destination for all things unique, nostalgic and delightfully offbeat.
The Paristown Flea is set for Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 720 Brent Street in Louisville. The event is free and pet friendly, though dogs must be kept on a leash.
Additional flea market dates include Saturday, June 20 and Saturday, Oct. 17.

Bluegrass PugFest
The Bluegrass PugFest, possibly the largest Pug event in North America, returns to Louisville this weekend.
Milwaukee was the home of this popular event for 15 consecutive years before moving to Kentucky. It hosted more than 3,200 people and 2,000 pugs each year.
The Bluegrass PugFest will be held in the West Halls of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
This is a fundraiser for participating Pug Rescue organizations from across the country. Everybody is welcome including other friendly dogs.
Browse over 50,000 square feet of vendors, silent auctions, rescue booths, and Pug competitions (costume, races, custard eating, talent, King/Queen and more).
The mission of the Bluegrass PugFest is to celebrate the Pug dog breed.
The proceeds will be used to ensure the future of the event and support participating nonprofit Pug rescue organizations.
One or two-day tickets are available at the door. They cost $8 for those 13 and older, while kids 2-12 get in for free.
