LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Aviation buffs had a picture-perfect day — both in the sky and from the ground at the annual Bowman Fest in Louisville.
The two-day event brings together aviation history, community fun, and family-friendly activities.
Rare vintage aircraft and vehicles from the 1920s to present day from across the United States, including military vehicles, motorcycles, equipment and more, was on display for people to check out.
The event kicked off with a 5K around Bowman Field. Then, everyone was treated to an aerobatic show featuring local and national performers.
"It's definitely fun to get up close to those planes because you don't always see them all the time," Omar Alnamrouti, festival attendee, said.
Bowman Fest continues Sunday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
