LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Ring in the new year by getting healthy and jump-starting celebrations for America’s 250th birthday.
In honor of America's semiquincentennial or the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, state parks across the country are participating in First Day Hikes.
The program, originated more than 30 years ago in Massachusetts, was launched to foster healthy lifestyles and promote year-round recreation at state parks.
Parks and lakes across the Hoosier state are offering First Day Hikes on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. For a complete list of Indiana parks, click here.
