LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nearly 102,000 people experience food insecurity in Jefferson County alone, according to Dare to Care.
That's why the organization is calling on the community to help make a difference during Hunger Action Month.
There are several ways to get involved. The first is to donate. Every $2 donated helps provide five meals for the community.
You can also sign up to volunteer at events, like Friday's Food Fight Friday or Family Volunteer Night on Sept. 24. You can also help by raising awareness on social media.
