LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersonville High School is diving into a new project for their athletic program.
The Greater Clark County school board approved a new natatorium on Tuesday evening for the southern Indiana high school.
The current pool at Jeffersonville High School is 50 years old and will be replaced by the new project.
The 50-meter stretch will be 10 lanes and seat up to 1,000 fans.
The natatorium will also feature a batch of brand-new locker rooms that will be big enough to accommodate multiple teams, as well as Jeffersonville's football, track, and swim teams.
The school board is hoping to be completed with the project by the 2026 school year.
