LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The countdown to the 2026 Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon and miniMarathon has begun.
Runners of all levels can start preparing with the free Norton Sports Health Training Program.
The 15-week program includes a downloadable training manual, a one-page training plan, weekly group runs, stretching and cross-training guidance and nutrition tips.
Registration for the training program opens Thursday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. online.
The first 1,000 registrants will also receive a free tech shirt.
The training kick-off is Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, from 5:30–8 p.m. at the Kentucky Derby Museum. Attendees can explore the course map, meet the Norton Sports Health team and shop official race gear.
Weekly group runs begin Jan. 10, with additional sessions through the Swags Speed Series from Feb. 3 to April 7.
