Vibe in the Park 2025

Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) — A local arts and community event founded by Darnell Levine is marking a milestone this summer as it celebrates five years of music, poetry and creative expression.

Vibe in the Park returns Saturday, July 11, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Alberta O. Jones Park, bringing together independent musicians, spoken word artists, visual creators and local vendors.

Founded by Louisville musician and community advocate Darnell Levine, the free event will feature live performances by Darnell Levine & Friends, along with poetry, art, food and family-friendly activities aimed at highlighting Louisville's creative community.

Organizers say the gathering has grown over the past five years into a platform for local talent while providing a space focused on culture, positivity and connection.

This year's celebration will also include a school supplies drive to support local students. Donations collected will be distributed during the event. Items can also be dropped off in advance at Gye Nyame Books and More, located inside the Nia Center at 2900 W. Main St.

Admission is free and open to the public. Online registration is available.
