The ground in the area near Junction City was scorched and smoke could still be seen at around 11:30 a.m.
Speaking in Danville, NTSB investigator Mike Hiller said the agency will be reviewing the 62-year-old pipeline’s maintenance and inspection records and repair history.
That explosion killed 58-year-old Lisa Derringer and injured five other residents.
