The health department ordered the store to close the affected aisles, remove everything from the shelves and break down the shelving to get rid of the pests.
The store blocked access to several aisles last week before completely closing to the public on Sunday to deal with the issue.Â
Complaints about mice were reported at a second Louisville-area Kroger store this month, but city records show both stores received A grades on their most recent city health inspection.
