LMPD said in a social media post around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday that what had previously been called a "critical investigation" was a shooting involving one of its officers.
Louisville Metro Police released the name of the officer who shot a man that tried to carjack a woman in a Walmart pharmacy drive-thru on Wednesday.
Randall Allen was shot by police in the drive-thru line of the store's pharmacy in late August as he tried to steal a woman's minivan.
