LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New surveillance video shows the moments before police shot a man attempting to carjack a woman in the pharmacy drive-thru of the Walmart on Outer Loop.
Employees at the nearby Peddlers Mall said the footage shows one of the suspects running from the scene of crash with what appears to be a gun. The security cameras caught Randall Allen, 36, running past their business and looking for a place to go then taking off an orange shirt.
Around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Kentucky State Police was in a vehicle pursuit that ended with a collision at Outer Loop and New Cut Road. One man in the car was arrested by the trooper, later identified by court documents as Jeremy Bozarth, 44, of Louisville. Allen was also in the car.
Louisville Metro Police said Allen was armed with two guns and ran toward the Walmart at that intersection. Allen then ran outside the Walmart and jumped in the passenger seat of a car in the drive-thru at the pharmacy. Police made several verbal commands for him to get out of the car before opening fire, shooting him multiple times.

Police said Brandon Brinkley shot Allen, who was on the run after a police chase from a KSP trooper. Allen was initially charged with resisting arrest, unlawful imprisonment, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, robbery, possession of handgun by convicted felon, wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police.
He was taken into custody and remains in the hospital for the injuries he sustained. He's expected to survive, police said.
A woman was in the driver's seat during the entire incident, Humphrey said. When asked if Allen fired at police before he was shot, Humphrey simply said it's still under investigation.
Brinkley was hired Nov. 28, 2022, and is currently assigned to the 3rd Division Patrol Unit. He's received nine letters of commendation but doesn't have a disciplinary history.
