LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Bardstown woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Nelson County.

Kentucky State Police said they were called in by Nelson County Sheriff's Office around 6 p.m. Tuesday for the crash near the 800 block of KY-509, in the Coxs Creek community.

Police said a man in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was headed eastbound on KY-509 when he crossed the center line for unknown reasons, hitting a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old.

The man and the 17-year-old were transported to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries, KSP said. A passenger in the teen's car, McKinzi Raisor, 18, of Bardstown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A portion of KY-509 was closed for several hours while KSP reconstructed the crash scene. The investigation is ongoing.
