LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have charged a man in connection with a triple homicide that happened in the city's Portland neighborhood earlier this month.
Kody Warf, 29, was charged with three counts of murder for the April 8 shooting, according to LMPD Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.
"His arrest marks a significant step forward in the ongoing investigation and pursuit of justice for the victims and their families," Mitchell said in a statement.
Warf's bond was set at $1 million on Thursday.
The April 8 shooting happened just before 5 a.m. in the 2200 block of Griffiths Avenue, police said at the time.

When officers arrived, they found two men and a woman inside, all suffering from gunshot wounds. All the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The day after the shooting, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victims as Mallory Cox, 37, David Clark Jr., 49, and Robert Auter, 37.
Flowers and candles now rest outside the front of the Portland home. It's the third triple homicide in Louisville this year and the only one where an arrest has been made.
"Unfortunately it's not unusual this year, and it just begs to the fact that we have some individuals in our community who continue to break havoc on our community," Mitchell said.
LMPD said the quick arrest is because of the community. Detectives received more than 30 tips, according to LMPD. 26 named Warf as the suspect.
"We just want to get that message out today that if we continue to do this and strive in that manner, we can solve a lot of these homicides and other violent crimes happening in our city.," said Mitchell.
According to online jail records, Warf has been in Louisville Metro Corrections since April 12 on charges not related to the triple homicide. According to court documents, LMPD detectives located Warf who had warrant for his arrest out of Floyd County, Indiana.
The arrest citation said when officers tried to arrest Warf, he crashed into a Detective's car, tried to run from police after being handcuffed, lied about his name and birthdate, and was in possession of a handgun as a convicted felon.
"He doesn't abide by court orders when he's out. He's got multiple charges of convicted felon in a handgun when he's been told from his very first felony conviction that he's not to have handguns," said a judge when setting Warf's bond.
Warf has also been convicted on multiple drug charges, battery, resisting law enforcement and theft out of southern Indiana.
He was also housed in Clark County Jail the same time A&E show 60 Days In was being filmed.
