LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged in the fatal shooting at the Greenwood Boat Ramp on Tuesday.

Louisville Metro Police said Thursday they arrested James O. Reece, of Louisville, charging him with murder, assault, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers responded to a report of a shooting around 3 a.m. in the 8200 block of Greenwood Road. That's near Cane Run Road.

Officers found a man who had been shot. Officers applied a chest seal, Ellis said, and EMS transported the man to UofL Hospital where he died from his injuries.

The victim was later identified as Jayson Manookian.

Ellis said another man was brought to the hospital by private means with a gunshot wound from the same incident. That man has injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Ellis said.

Reece is being held at Metro Corrections and was arraigned Friday morning. A judge set his bond at $1 million.
