LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.

Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Friday, Aug. 9 through Sunday, Aug. 11.

2024 Tour of Remodeled Homes

You can check out some major transformation at this year's Tour of Remodeled Homes in Louisville.

The annual event is hosted by the The Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville.

This year's tour will feature nine beautifully remodeled homes across the city.

The tour runs from Aug. 10-11 from noon to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $12 online or $15 day of the event.

Lou City vs. Sacramento Republic FC

Cheer on Louisville City FC this Saturday at 9 p.m. as they take on Sacramento Republic FC at Lynn Family Stadium.

It's also "Super Kid Night" with Norton Children's.

LouCity is coming off a 1-0 win over Isotopes Park in Albuquerque.Ā 

LouCity (15-4-2) extended its wining streak to three games with its first shutout since June 19. LouCity moved a point ahead of the Charleston Battery for first place in the Eastern Conference.

Sky Soul Festival at Waterfront Park

The newest music festival in Louisville kicks off Saturday at Waterfront Park.

Sky Soul FestivalĀ features R&B and hip-hop music. Headliners include Anthony Hamilton and the Tones, KeKe Wyatt, Dru Hill and Doug E. Fresh.

The festival starts at 3 p.m. on Aug. 10. on the Great Lawn.

General admission is $50 and VIP packages start at $150.

Super Back to School Bash

Celebrate the start of a new school year with the Louisville Zoo's "Super Back to School Bash" this Saturday.

The theme is "Let's a go!" an homage to Super Mario. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids can meet and greet with their favorite video game heroes on an adventure through the zoo.Ā 

Admission to the bash is free with zoo admission or a membership to the Louisville Zoo.

Caufield's CreepFest

It may be August, but spooky season is right around the corner.

Caufield's Novelty is hosting its inaugural Caufield's CreepFest this Saturday in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Caufield's, located at 1006 West Main Street.

Labeled a "spine-chilling day of thrills and excitement," the "horror-themed extravaganza promises a hauntingly good time for all ages."

The festival features more than 40 vendors on the second floor of Caufield's, in addition to the retail space on the first floor of the novelty store that offers Halloween décor, costumes and more. 

The event is free, and includes costume contests for adults and pets. Organizers say there will also be a photo opportunity with Beetlejuice and prize drawings.
