LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 62-year-old southern Indiana man was killed Monday morning in a crash on State Road 56 in Washington County.
Indiana State Police said in a news release Monday that James Fox, of Austin, was driving east on State Road 56, near Elk Creek Road, around 7:30 a.m., when he crossed into the westbound lanes. Fox collided with an oncoming car, driven by a 46-year-old Bedford man, and both cars ran off the road.
Fox was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Coroner's Office. The other driver had to be extricated from his car and transported to UofL Health Hospital in downtown Louisville.
ISP is investigating the crash.
