LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Ā Authorities say they've identified the skeletal remains found in a wooded area in Shelby County last year.
Officials are expected to release that person's nameĀ duringĀ a news conference atĀ 1 p.m. on Thursday.
A Waddy property owner called police after he says a dog brought what appeared to be a human skull toĀ his property in Waddy, Kentucky, in Feb. 2017. Police brought in cadaver dogs, which found more bones, along with items officers said helped them narrow the search.
The remains were sent to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for help making the identification.
