LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — One of the largest art festivals in the Louisville area was in full display downtown Saturday afternoon.

The Big Four Arts Festival takes over the Big Four Lawn near the walking bridge.

The two-day festival brings in more than 20,000 visitors and 150 juried artists, craftsman, jewelers, and artisans.

"Really what this is about is for people to come and meet the artists and if they want, start their own art collection," Louis Nunnelley, event director, said. "I think everyone should have an art collection. It doesn't have to be a $3,000 piece, it can be a $200 piece."

There festival also has a lot of live music, food, and hands-on art activities.

The festival continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The ticketed event costs $5, the proceeds of which go toward Bridgehaven Mental Health Services.
