LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You can give blood in honor of a local hero on Friday.
The Kentucky Blood Center and Baptist Health La Grange are holding a blood drive on Sept. 27 to honor Louisville Metro Police Officer Nick Wilt.
Wilt is still recovering after being shot while responding to the mass shooting at Old National Bank last April.
Appointments for the blood drive are available from noon to 5 p.m. Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins will be accepted,
