LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro Police are conducting a death investigation after the bodies of two men were found in a Louisville apartment.

Police found the men in the apartment near 6th street and Breckinridge Street around 4:00 Friday afternoon.

A deputy coroner says it appears the men had been there several days.

The men have been identified as 41-year-old Richard "Lydell" Tinsley and 29-year-old David Horton.

Tinsley's family members were among those standing outside the apartment Friday night.

"He come around when he had problems or something to let me know. We'd sit down and talk if he had a problem. He wasn't a bad fellow or nothing. He was good. We just want to know what happened," says Bernadine Unseld, Tinsley's aunt.

They say he and his ex-wife were having problems and she moved out. He recently changed his locks, and they haven't been able to reach him for four days. The last time they say they spoke to him was Monday.

Police say a neighbor found the two men dead in the apartment.

Family waited outside the apartment during the investigation, hoping for answers in the case.

"He had just got a job. He was turning himself around. Everybody had their downfalls, but he was a young man turning himself around, trying to stay out of trouble," says Bernadine Unseld.
