LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A nationwide discount retail chain announced it is closing all of its stores.

According to PR Newswire, Big Lots, Inc. announced Thursday the company won't proceed with the sale to Nexus Capital Management, which had been previously reported.

Instead, the company said it will begin its going out of business sale "in the coming days" at all remaining Big Lots stores throughout the country, according to PR Newswire.

Customers can still shop in stores and online, and the company said it will provide updates on the closures.

In October, the company announced the closing of 315 stores, including the store at New Albany Plaza off State Street in New Albany, Indiana and the location on Poplar Level Road, just north of the Watterson Expressway.

There are several other Big Lots stores in Kentuckiana. Those locations include:

  • 4121 Shelbyville Road
  • 5252 Bardstown Road
  • 5518 New Cut Road
  • 6650 Dixie Highway
  • 706 E. Lewis & Clark Parkway, Clarksville, Indiana
