LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Big Lots is closing 350 stores around the country and the liquidation sales are underway.
Are the sales worth checking out?
Some shoppers saw great sales, while others came more than once and never saw anything marked down.
With liquidation sales, some things don't get huge markdowns in the first couple of weeks. And another caution - no returns or refunds on any items.
Shoppers will also come across fake advertisements that look real. When chain stores start closing, it's an easy way for scammers to post fake ads on social media.
Big Lots is not offering any clearance deals online, since the company is still in business.
The bigger markdowns will come in the last days of the sale, so shoppers will have to be patient if they're looking for the best deal.
