LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Churchill Downs Incorporated is expanding its New Hampshire presence, turning Casino Salem into the new Rockingham Grand Casino.
The upgraded venue will feature hundreds of gaming machines, table games, a 900-seat performance venue and multiple food and beverage options, including a sports bar and full-service restaurant.
The project, approved by the Salem Planning Board in December, represents an $180–200 million investment.
“Rockingham Grand Casino will provide first-class entertainment while supporting New Hampshire’s charitable organizations,” said Bill Carstanjen, CEO of Churchill Downs Incorporated.
Local partners Joe Faro and Sal Lupoli said the development will create jobs and boost the regional economy.
The new casino will anchor The Mall at Rockingham Park and complement nearby Tuscan Village, a growing hub of dining, shopping, and entertainment.
