LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana State Police are investigating an inmate's death at a county jail.

Washington County Jail officials were alerted about 4 p.m. Sunday of an unresponsive inmate lying in his bunk, ISP Sgt. Carey Huls said in a release.

Correctional officers provided first aid and called EMS. The inmate, 61-year-old David Scott Elliott of Georgetown, Indiana, was transported to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Salem where he died. 

Huls said no foul play is suspected, however, the death is under investigation. An autopsy is set for Monday.
