LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Leaders at the Galt House Hotel downtown said The Legendary Collection featuring new Louisville-themed suites are big on comfort and bigger on personality.
The suites — themed for the University of Louisville and horse racing — are a new initiative for the hotel to create unique spaces for guests.
"The culture is really special," AJS Hotels COO Eamon O'Brien said Thursday. "Guests are looking for that. They want to experience the local feel and the local flavor ..."
The UofL suite comes complete with framed jerseys, commemorative helmets and basketballs and odes all over to the great Cardinals athletes.
Renovations started in January, and representatives from the hotel said more is coming.
"We have Muhammad Ali, Four Roses Bourbon coming down the line as well as some other themed suites that we're working on that are iconic Louisville staples," O'Brien said. "So that's really something that we're focused on and excited about in the future."
