LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Italian restaurant in Louisville's Clifton neighborhood will close by the end of the year.
The owners of DiFabio's Casapela, which has been a staple on Frankfort Avenue for 15 years, said on Facebook over the weekend that the decision was difficult but they're excited for "new adventures."
The restaurant sits in a prominent spot on Frankfort Avenue, across from Volare Italian Ristorante and next door to The Irish Rover, a heavily trafficked stretch of one of Louisville's busiest areas.
DiFabio's touted its "eclectic" menu with traditional Italian food served in a casual setting.
A special reservations-only service on New Year's Eve will be the last night before DiFabio's closes for good.
