LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is growing.
The Kentucky Distillers’ Association is adding more than a dozen new experiences to its Kentucky Bourbon Trail tour.
“Kentucky is the one, true and authentic home for Bourbon,” Eric Gregory, KDA president, said.
The expansion includes new distillery offerings and satellite tasting rooms like Buzzard’s Roost Spirits, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Monk’s Road Boiler House, and Whiskey Thief Distilling Co, all in Louisville. Chicken Cock Distilling in Bardstown also joined the lineup.
The Bourbon Trail now includes 60 total destinations in 27 of Kentucky’s 120 counties.
The growth is part of the new campaign encouraging visitors to take the “Build Your Own Bourbon Trail” tour.
Since its launch in 1999, the Bourbon Trail has grown to welcome more than 2.5 million visitors annually.
