LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nothing says welcome to the bluegrass state like a little music.
Louisville Tourism opened its welcome center at the Muhammad Ali International Airport Friday afternoon.
The second tourists step into baggage claim, staff will be there to help answer any questions guest might have, whether it be fun things to do or needing recommendations.
The ribbon was cut on the center just in time for the PGA Championship and the 150th Kentucky Derby.
"We want to get information into their hands, we want to get them information that's going to influence where they go, how long they stay, what they might spend, it will all start right here," said Doug Bennett, with Louisville Tourism.
Between now and July 1, the new center expects to help 80,000 people.
