LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- North America's largest indoor farm show is back in Louisville this week.

The 59th National Farm Machinery Show started Wednesday and goes through Saturday. Attendees can explore the newest equipment for every part of the agriculture industry. The show is free and open to the public.

"Farming is generational. There's something at this show for everyone," said Mark Grimes with Wright Implement.

The Kentucky Exposition Center is using 1.2 million square feet for the event, which features more than 800 exhibitors showcasing brands including Case, John Deere, Kubota, New Holland and many more. According to Kentucky Venues, 95% of the exhibitors are returning from the prior year. Many attendees also tend to return, making this trip to the Bluegrass an annual event.

"If you can think of it, it's here," said George Taylor, who's visiting the show from east Tennessee.

Taylor was there Wednesday morning as TYM unveiled new tractor models on the floor.

"It's like a toy-land for a farmer, I guess, and anybody that likes stuff like this," he said, sitting inside one of the new models.

Many describe the event as something to do with the whole family, particularly inspiring the next generation.

"Kids get to come here with their families and learn about all the new products," said Aeron Westbrook with Wright Implement.

According to Kentucky Venues, the show is expected to generate $27.7 million for the state's economy.

"The National Farm Machinery show is truly a national event," Grimes said. "For it to be in Louisville is something we need to support."

The show anticipates 300,000 visitors during the four-day event. Hotels and restaurants are also expected to be busy from the crowds.

"Just coming in, it was amazing," said Teresa Hardesty from southern Indiana. "Just all the different license plates from all over the United States, it was amazing."

The show also includes a Gift & Craft Market, where visitors can shop retail vendors for items like clothing, toys, collectibles and more.

Parking is $12 when purchased in advance. An in/out pass is available for $15. Use Gate 1, Gate 2, or Gate 6 to access the expo center. CLICK HERE for discounted daily parking.
