LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 633-unit apartment complex is planned for Shepherdsville.
According to our partners at Louisville Business First, Poe Companies, a top Louisville developer, broke ground in November on the 49.5-acre multi-family development. The new development will be called Saltwell Springs complex, located off Saltwell and Bel Lick Road in Bullitt County on a new street called Saltwell Springs Boulevard.
The complex will have 528 apartments, including one-, two- and three-bedroom units, Louisville Business First reports. The development will also have 88 townhomes, featuring two- and three-bedroom units and single-family homes.
In addition, the complex will have a clubhouse, pool, splash pad, dog park, walking path and man-made lake.
“We like (the project) just because of the sheer fundamentals. Bullitt County and Shepherdsville proper has really grown a lot in the last 15 years and they haven’t see a lot of apartment supply," Poe Companies President Hank Hillebrand said. "So, we feel confident in our ability to deliver here.”
The project, constructed by Weber Group, is expected to be complete in 2028.
