LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new steakhouse officially opened in downtown Louisville on Friday night.
Steak and Bourbon is located on Fourth Street and West Market, across from Derby City Gaming.
"We saw our success at the Westport Village location and we wanted to give back to Louisville and help with the resurgence of central downtown, so we built Steak and Bourbon," Rick Moir, Steak and Bourbon owner, said. "It's been a while since a local steakhouse has opened up in this vicinity. So we'll circle back and make Westport Village look just like this. This was the box that we wanted for Steak and Bourbon. It's great being connected to the convention center, across from Derby City Gaming and right in the mix of downtown."
It's the second location for the Ole Group-based restaurant. The first location is located in Westport Village.
The restaurant features a lounge area, live music and a wine cellar. Owners want the steakhouse to be modern and comfortable.
"We want everyone to walk in and feel like they're somewhere else in a way as well because everything looks the same as far as steakhouses go, so that's why this one is a little more eclectic, different, just trying to find people to be comfortable in a space where they can enjoy themselves and have great food," co-owner Cristina Martinez said.
Cuisine will include prime steaks, seafood and burgers.
The restaurant plans to eventually open for lunch.
Steak and Bourbon is located at 115 South 4th Street. To learn more, click here or call (502) 536-7977.
