LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local bank is warning customers not to fall for a scam that makes calls and sends text that look like they're coming from someone at the bank.
Park Community Credit Union sent the warning in an email to customers on Thursday. The bank said fraudsters are spoofing the bank's phone number and calling members to tell them of unauthorized activity.Â
The caller ID will come up as Park Community, the bank said, and the person on the phone will ask for information that could compromise a person's account.
The bank said anyone who gets the call should hang up and call the bank directly.
Park Community shared in its email to customers a link to more information about protecting their accounts from fraud. To read their tips, click here.
