LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sullivan University is selling its lone residence hall for nearly $10 million.
The site, known as Gardiner Point, includes more than 140,000 square feet of space and sits on 5.29 acres at 4004 Gardiner Point Drive, just off I-264. According to CBRE, the commercial real estate firm marketing the site, the property was originally built in 1965 as the Colonel Sanders Motor Inn. In 2010, it was remodeled into a dormitory-style housing facility for Sullivan students.

The facility currently has 257 bedrooms, a full commercial kitchen, cafeteria, laundry rooms, fitness center, and even a saltwater pool. There’s also a large meeting space, game room, and conference area.
The three-story building is being positioned as a prime location, according to the listing.
"The central location would be appealing to staff, patients and their families coming from within the Louisville market or commuting to the facility," the listing reads in part. "There is also a shortage of affordable housing throughout the city, which could be addressed with this project."
The listing price for the property is $9,950,000.
